Create reading supports from one text

Prepare scaffolds without changing the learning objective.

For teachers · Editorial guide · Sources checked October 22, 2026

Use school-approved tools. Keep student identifiers and sensitive records out of general prompts. Teachers verify content and make grading and learning-support decisions.

Before you start

Use the product for the supported part of this workflow. Example prompts are adaptable writing instructions, not a promise that every tool accepts text prompts or implements every step.

Follow the workflow

  1. STEP 1

Select a short authorized passage and define the common learning goal.

  2. STEP 2

Request vocabulary support, chunked instructions and an extension activity.

  3. STEP 3

Compare versions with the original and check that key facts and challenge remain appropriate.

Example prompt / brief

Replace bracketed text with non-sensitive, authorized information.

Using this permitted passage, create a vocabulary glossary, chunked reading questions and an extension task. Keep all original facts. Do not label students by ability. [passage]

What you should have

Three support options tied to one objective.

Review before using

Check fidelity, cultural assumptions and learning needs. Do not upload IEPs or student records.
