Understanding how the community uses The AI Notes
The AI Notes measures visits to public sections and estimates active reading time. A random identifier is kept in your tab’s session storage and resets after 30 minutes of inactivity. Our analytics database stores a hash of that identifier, section names, dates, and active seconds.
Active time counts while the page is visible and pauses after 60 seconds without interaction. Admin pages are excluded. We do not store names, emails, raw IP addresses, search terms, or full page URLs in analytics. Separate hashed connection identifiers are used to limit abuse of the collection endpoint.
Only the site owner can view the reports after signing in and unlocking Admin. Records older than 90 days are removed when tracking runs. Your browser’s Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control setting disables this measurement. Blocking scripts or clearing session storage may also affect measurement.
Advertising and third-party services
Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or similar identifiers to serve, measure and personalize advertisements based on visits to this and other websites. These vendors may collect information directly from your browser when their services load. Google describes its processing in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
You can manage personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center and control cookies through your browser. Where an advertising consent message is displayed, use its options to accept, reject or change your choices. Ad availability and consent controls depend on the configured advertising service and your region. This privacy notice itself is not a consent mechanism.
Contact messages and privacy requests
The contact form stores your supplied name, reply email, topic, message and submission date in a private publisher inbox. These details are used to address the request, not for newsletter signup. Access is limited to authenticated administrators. Messages remain until removed by the publisher; use the form to request access, correction or deletion. Include enough context to identify the record without sending passwords or sensitive documents.
Other site features
Comments, subscriptions, and account preferences have their own records so those features can work. The hosting provider may process requests and operational logs. The site includes the Google AdSense loader; Google may process information under its own policies when ads are enabled.
Video demonstrations
Embedded YouTube and Vimeo players load only when you select Load video. The video provider then receives your connection information and applies its own privacy policies. Other video links open at their original source.
Newsletter and sharing
Newsletter consent, preferred frequency, account email and selected topics are stored with your account. Email is currently a waitlist; no newsletters are sent until delivery is configured. Withdraw consent in Newsletter or My updates by clearing the email option and saving. RSS requires no account.
Social sharing links open the selected service only when clicked. That service receives the article link and, where supported, the suggested text. Copy buttons use your clipboard; device sharing opens your device’s share sheet. Nothing is posted automatically.
